Sae W. Lee, Esquire

Born in Seoul, Korea, Sae W. Lee moved to the United States in 1990 and was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 2005. Mr. Lee has successfully litigated numerous family law and business cases, including matters involving assets and disputes worth well over millions of dollars.  Mr. Lee has also successfully represented his clients in family law and business appellate cases.  He is experienced and well versed in international family law cases involving litigation and enforcement across multiple jurisdictions. He has handled cases involving

  • Divorces with complex, high worth assets exceeding millions of dollars.

Mr. Lee is also highly experienced in estate planning matter, both simple and complex.  Whether it be simple estate planning for clients with straightforward assets and family arrangements or complex estate planning for high worth families involving complex trusts and wealth transfer techniques, Mr. Lee is well versed in many estate planning tools to accomplish the client's goals.

Mr. Lee also handles immigration cases and has successfully navigated his clients through obtaining immigration benefits in family and business immigration cases.

Mr. Lee is fluent in both English and Korean and moved back to South Korea during 2006 to 2009. Mr. Lee served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Reggie B. Walton of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia from 2003 to 2004. He also worked at the Alexandria Public Defender’s Office as an intern during the summer of 2004. During law school, Mr. Lee was one of the Managing Editors of The George Washington Law Review.

Mr. Lee received his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2002 and his Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School in 2005.
